This Privacy Policy explains how Avintheria collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you visit our website or contact us. We aim to process personal information responsibly, transparently and only when necessary.

Current site scope. This is an informational website without accounts, payments, contact forms, advertising or third-party analytics. Avintheria is currently in its foundational stage. Full legal entity details will be added before the website begins offering commercial services or direct data-collection features.

1. Who we are

Avintheria is a foundational-stage research and technology project being developed in Sweden.

For privacy-related questions, contact hello@avintheria.com.

2. Information we may collect

Information you provide

When you contact us by email, we may receive information such as:

  • your name and email address
  • your organisation or professional role
  • the contents of your message
  • files or other information you choose to include

Technical information

When you visit the website, limited technical information may be processed automatically by hosting or security providers. This may include IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, access times, and basic security or error logs.

Sensitive information

Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and we have specifically requested it.

3. How we use information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries
  • communicate about potential research or partnerships
  • handle media and business correspondence
  • maintain website security and reliability
  • investigate technical problems or misuse
  • comply with applicable legal obligations
  • protect legal rights

4. Legal bases for processing

Depending on the circumstances, information may be processed on the basis of legitimate interests, steps requested before entering an agreement, legal obligations, or consent.

Legitimate interests

Information may be processed when reasonably necessary to respond to messages, operate the website, prevent misuse and protect systems.

Steps before an agreement

When you contact us regarding a potential collaboration, service or agreement, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request.

Legal obligations

Information may be processed or retained where required by applicable law.

Consent

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

5. Email communications

When you email Avintheria, your message and contact details will be used to review and respond to your enquiry.

Relevant correspondence may be retained where necessary to continue a discussion, maintain business records, resolve disputes or comply with legal obligations. Routine enquiries are normally deleted or anonymised within 12 months after the conversation has ended, unless there is a legitimate reason or legal obligation to retain them longer.

6. Website logs and security

Hosting and security systems may process limited technical information to deliver the website, detect malicious activity, investigate errors and maintain security.

Technical logs are not used to create advertising profiles. Routine server and security logs should normally be retained for no longer than 30 days, unless a longer period is necessary to investigate an incident.

7. Cookies

The Avintheria website is designed not to use advertising, profiling or non-essential analytics cookies.

Hosting or security providers may use strictly necessary technologies where required to deliver and protect the website. If non-essential cookies are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested before those cookies are placed.

8. Analytics

We do not currently use third-party analytics services to track visitors across the website. If analytics are introduced, this section will be updated before the relevant processing begins.

9. How information may be shared

We do not sell personal information.

Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary with hosting and infrastructure providers, email and communication providers, professional advisers, public authorities where required by law, or service providers acting on our instructions.

10. International data transfers

Some service providers may process information outside Sweden or the European Economic Area. Where required, legally recognised safeguards should be used, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections.

11. How long we keep information

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. The period may depend on the nature of the information, whether communication remains active, security requirements, potential legal claims and applicable legal obligations.

When information is no longer required, it will be deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible.

12. Your data protection rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your personal information
  • request correction of inaccurate information
  • request deletion or restriction of processing
  • object to certain processing
  • receive certain information in a portable format
  • withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
  • lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

To make a request, contact hello@avintheria.com. We may need to verify your identity.

13. Complaints

If you have concerns about how personal information is processed, contact us first at hello@avintheria.com.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) or another competent authority.

14. Children’s privacy

The website provides general information about Avintheria and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information unnecessarily, contact us so it can be reviewed and, where appropriate, deleted.

15. External links

The website may contain links to external services, including social media platforms. Avintheria does not control how those services collect or process personal information. Their own privacy policies apply.

16. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures should be used to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No method of transmitting or storing information can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
